welcome to my world of art

hello, i’m khush: an engineer by training, and an artist by passion.

i think about things.
i get obsessed with them.
then i end up painting them.

come into my world.
see what i make, how i make it, and who i am.

the painting everyone knows me for
during a random 3AM overthinking session, i thought of merging two iconic things: the movie ‘Tangled’, and Van Gogh’s painting ‘The Starry Night’; and the result was this.

every artwork is hand-painted
some people think they’re stickers.

some people feel like it could be machine made.

but i am just a 25 year old who makes everything by hand.

so, i share process photos and videos of your artworks with you and over my socials: so that you purchase with confidence in the fact that it is indeed made by a person.

i’m from India. and i ship globally.

here’s my story in a nutshell
hi there. i’m so glad to have you here.

i held up a pencil and made a circle before i learnt to speak. ask my mom, she’s always glad to tell that story. ever since i was a child, everyone just knew that i was going to be an artsy girl when i grew up. but to their horror, i turned out to be academically brilliant too. i know. that’s kinda dramatic.

i was the kind of a child who spent more time with books and crayons and books filled with crayons than with actual real people. and i got great at both. a decade later, after an extraordinary 99 percentile score in an exam taken by 1.5 million students, i got into an esteemed Indian institute for engineering.

while i was a student in my first year, i had already realised that engineering would never suffice. art and academics was like t-shirt and pants to me. how could i wear just one? i meeeean i could, but i didn’t want to. not in my country at least. xD

so then i started posting art on Instagram. this was 2020. one day in 2021, my account blew up. i started receiving orders. i used to make personalised illustrations for people on small canvases.

i continued to excel academically in my college.
i continued taking up orders and working.
i appeared for interviews and got a campus placement.
then i broke my ankle in a traumatic road accident.
then i found it was crushed and broken permanently.
then i found that it would possibly never heal.
i was left with chronic pain (and i still live with it).
i couldn’t have a job that would require constant moving.
and that’s when, my job was taken from me.

until then, art was my plan B.
somehow i always knew that art is what i would ultimately choose.
but the lack of confidence in my own self and my own two hands is what kept stopping me.
but then, it became my plan A.
and then, plan A was the only plan i had.

i finally chose art.

in the spring of 2024 i pursued art full time.
i evolved. i made mistakes. i learnt.
i told stories from my life in voiceovers.
and people connected with me.
my space changed and evolved.
my art style changed and evolved.
i changed and evolved.

what was a 2 feet childhood desk, became an entire studio.
what was just illustrations, became the art that you now see.
who was just a girl that broke her ankle, became a full time artist.

it has been a little over six years since my first art sale.

and this, is just the beginning of my journey.
